Director, Information Services – North Carolina

Director, Health Information Management – Arizona

The Murphey Group, Inc. has been retained by a not-for-profit, community owned, 200+ bed hospital in Northwest Arizona to recruit a Director, Health Information Management.  This role will report to the CFO/CAO.  This facility has a hospital wide employee satisfaction score above the 90th percentile.  The Director, Health Information Management will manage the H.I.M. Department in accordance with the policies and procedures to maintain medical records for use in patient care, medical/legal purposes, research or study.  Oversees ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures covering the privacy of, and access to, patient health information in compliance with federal and state laws and the healthcare organization’s information privacy practices.

This hospital runs 170-180 beds and within the past 12 months they began an open heart program.  Major services include everything but Neuro and NICU. 

Requirements:

Medical Records Specialist with experience in medical records processes and procedures and basic planning skills.  Requires knowledge of the chart completion processes and JCAHO standards and practices.  Must demonstrate current competence in a supervisory capacity and possess a working knowledge of all medical record department activities.  Knowledge and experience in information privacy laws, access, and release of information.  Knowledge in and the ability to apply the principles of HIM, project management, and change management.  Demonstrated organization, facilitation, and communication skills.

 Certification as an RHIA or RHIT with education and experience relative to the size and scope of the organization.  Previous management experience with knowledge of regulations relative to the Medical Records Department.

Chief Financial Officer, Florida

Job Description:
The Murphey Group, Inc. has been retained to recruit a CFO. This role is responsible for leading the Hospice and Hospice Foundation in the areas of business development, financial management and planning, and information technology. Responsible for identification, assessments, and preparations for new lines of business, as well as improvements to existing systems. Assumes responsibility for the appropriate and accurate financial management and conditions reporting, and identification of business and financial strategies for improved qualitative performance. Reports to President and CEO with direct oversight of Vice President of Finance, Director of Business Services, Director of Information Services, and Assistant to Senior VP, Business and Finance.

Requirements:
B.S. Degree in Accounting is required with a Master’s Degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years supervisory and management experience is required. Prior experience in healthcare financial management is required. Direct experience in non-acute fields of hospice and home-health is ideal.
