Chief Medical Officer, Hospice and Palliative Care – N. Iowa

The Murphey Group, Inc. has been retained by a hospital affiliated, not for profit Hospice and Palliative Care organization to recruit a new Chief Medical Officer.  This program is affiliated with a nationally recognized medical center that has been recognized as one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals and recognized as a Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospital. 

The Chief Medical Officer shall provide and/or supervise the medical aspects of the delivery of care for the Hospice & Palliative Care program and the associated Fellowship program.  This includes oversight for the quality of care, assistance in the development of standards of practice, and assistance with the development of programs to assure competence of hospice and palliative care staff.

Requirements:

A.  Education:

  1. Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and licensed to practice in the state of  Iowa. 
  2. Board Certification/eligible in the practice specialty of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. If eligible will obtain boards within 18 months of accepting position

 B.  Experience

  1. Minimum of 2 years experience in Hospice and Palliative Care
  2. Managerial experience of people and processes preferred.

C.  Special Skills, Competencies, and Aptitudes

1.  Knowledge and belief in hospice and palliative concept of care.

  1. Demonstrated ability in program administration, knowledge of health care policy and reimbursement issues.
  2. Strong working knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation for Hospice and Palliative Care and JCAHO Standards.

Cardiothoracic Surgeon – Harrisburg, PA

Reorganization has created an urgent need for a Cardiovascular Surgeon with this innovative program in Harrisburg, PA.

The ideal candidate will have strong surgical skills, good judgment, be open to innovation, have great team interaction and like to be challenged.  The group is currently doing 500-600 procedures per year, including over 400 bypass and 175 valve and specialty procedures.  There are currently 50 ongoing Cardiac research trials.  Support staff consists of 4 PAs and a strong referral base of 37 Cardiologists in the immediate area.

Our client offers a 3-5 year contract as an employed physician and an excellent compensation package.

Director, Perinatal Services – Arizona

The Murphey Group, Inc. has been retained by a not-for-profit, community owned, 200+ bed hospital in Northwest Arizona to recruit a Director, Perinatal Services.  This role will report to the CNO.  This facility has a hospital wide employee satisfaction score above the 90th percentile.  The Director, Perinatal Services will lead a department that does 720+ births/year, they have 5 labor/delivery rooms, 2 ante partum rooms, 11  post partum rooms, and a Level I Nursery (10 beds).

Company:
This hospital runs 170-180 beds and within the past 18 months they began an open heart program.  Major services include everything but Neuro and NICU. 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree with prior experience leading OB, Perinatal, Maternity Services.

Manager, Med / Surg / Ortho – Raleigh, NC region

Requirements:
Strong preference for a minimum of a BSN.  Strong surgical background with a strong preference for a person having Joint Replacement experience.

Section Head, Sleep Medicine and Research – Michigan

The Murphey Group, Inc. has been retained by our client, a 900 bed academic teaching institution, to recruit a Section Head, Sleep Medicine and Research. Our client is part of one of the nation’s largest integrated healthcare delivery systems. The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy, Immunology, Sleep Medicine and Research is seeking a full time senior staff board certified internist/sleep physician to lead its sleep medicine and research program.

The Center is currently clinically staffed by internists, psychiatrists, and otorhinolaryngologists. An ACGME approved fellowship trains 3 candidates yearly. The AASM certified Sleep Center is a 14 bed facility, with four additional beds located at a satellite center, providing 4100 patient visits and 2200 polysomnograms annually. Four PhD. and one MD scientist are responsible for the conduct of NIH and pharmaceutical studies, with international recognition for work in insomnia, circadian disorders, sleep apnea, sleep and pain, sleep pharmacology, and sleep therapies. The ideal candidate would supplement current clinical and research endeavors.
