The Murphey Group, Inc. has been retained by a financially strong, not-for-profit, community owned, 250+ bed hospital in Northwest Arizona to recruit an Executive Director, Physician Services.  This role is part of the senior leadership team and will report to the CFO/CAO.  This facility has a hospital wide employee satisfaction score above the 90th percentile.  The Executive Director, Physician Services will direct all daily Physician Services departments including all Practice Units and the hospital’s Medical Services Organization.  The EDPS ensures that all practices provide high quality, high-value services to the community.  The physician services division currently employs 55+ providers to include Orthos, ENTs, Urologists, OB-GYNs, CV Surgeons, General Surgeons, PCPs, and NPs.

This hospital runs 200+beds and within the past 18 months they began an open heart program.  Major services include everything but Neuro and NICU. 

Requirements:
Proven ability to effectively lead complex organizations with multiple stake holders; ability to exercise mature and sound judgment in the management of physician practices; exceptional communication skills and ability to develop a team approach to care; understands physician relationship dynamics and ability to earn physician respect and support; knowledge of the operation of physician offices including medical care, practice flow; ability to create an environment that leads to an exceptional patient experience.

Location:
Kingman, AZ.  Kingman is in Northwest Arizona – under 2 hours to Las Vegas, 2.5 hours to Phoenix, and 2.25 hours to Flagstaff, AZ.  Kingman is located in Mohave County and serves a local population of 33,000+ with a market area of over 125,000.  This region offers excellent outdoor resources — 1,000 miles of freshwater shoreline, the 7,000 foot Hualapai Mountains, many surrounding wilderness areas, rugged desert mountains, historic mining camps, hunting, fishing, and hiking.  Kingman’s elevation, at 3,336 ft., provides an ideal southwestern climate — neither too hot nor too cold.
