Job Description:
The Murphey Group, Inc. has been retained to recruit an Executive Vice President, Medical Services (Chief Medical Officer) for our quality driven client.  Reporting to the CEO, the EVPMS is directly responsible for all medical staff functions including but not limited to: medical staff development; medical staff bylaws; medical staff credentialing and privileging; and all physician relations activities.  Will provide leadership and direction to all Medical Directors throughout the hospital.  Will network and build consensus, will collaborate and problem solve with particular focus on medical staff and excellence in the care experience.  A focus of this role is developing the service line model for the medical staff structure.

Requirements:
M.D. or D.O. required.   MBA or other Master's degree preferred.  Prior experience in direct leadership responsibilities for medical staff operations and credentialing is required.  Prior experience serving as the Vice President, Medical Affairs, Chief Medical Officer, or Senior Physician Executive in a hospital or integrated health system is strongly preferred.  Experience in a competitive healthcare market is strongly preferred.
